Former deputy Health director-general Prof Datuk Dr Lokman Hakim Sulaiman said he was perplexed upon seeing a recent video clip of a disinfection operation, where a solution was sprayed onto road surfaces.
“Even if road surfaces are contaminated, how could they get to your face? By people scrubbing their hands on the contaminated road surfaces and touching their faces? “What a waste, the money spent could well be used for other more meaningful purposes, for example, for hospital staff who are preparing their own Personal Protective Equipment ,” he added.
He said disinfection should be more targeted where contamination is most likely to have taken place, such as areas where hands are likely to come into contact with the virus.
Wonder which 'qualified' contractors are awarded these nationwide projects.
China &South Korea did it this ways, they are experts. N by the disinfecting, both countries reduce the community clusters of covid-19 new cases to very minimal, I think BEST consult China or South Korea for their rational n right ways to disinfecting our hotspots is good.
In China, they spray it on everything including touch points and roads. No quarter given. But no crowds watching also.
