Exco: Selangor needs two years to prep Klang quartz ridge for Unesco bid

“During the last meeting regarding PKGS it has been decided that it is not ready for Unesco but experts say that it has the potential to be a geopark. We will focus on developing it as a geopark before elevating it to Unesco status. Abdul Rashid said the certification was not easily obtained so the government needs more time before it can submit the application to the world organisation.
