Ex-Umno Youth chief lambasts DAP group for objecting to khat proposalKhat has been around even before the independence and used in plaques and agreements, says Razlan Rafii. Relaxs le..😬 It's juz a small misunderstanding. Cuba explain betul2 rationally. I'm sure those against it wud love to learn 'Jawi'. My kids learn both chinese characters & jawi script in chinese school. 'khat'? No value lah unless u r into arts. But yes for learning Jawi though. Since Malay/Jawi/Arabic calligraphy is used to teach Islam to Muslims, forcing Year 4 pupils in Tamil and Chinese schools to learn Malay/Jawi/Arabic calligraphy is unconstitutional according to Article 12(3) of the Federal Constitution. MOE is forcing non-Muslims to learn Islam. No problems, as long any banned words written in Khat such as religious connotation Allah Insyallah blah blah doesn't arise to confuse as arbitrary a Halal term.
