PETALING JAYA: Former MIC vice-president S Balakrishnan was killed in an accident along with three others at KM33 of the North-South Expressway in Johor this morning.Three others were injured in the 12.08am incident, according to a fire and rescue department report.
The accident occurred after a container truck lost control and crashed into the Toyota Vellfire and Proton Wira which the victims were in at the time.Balakrishnan served as MIC vice-president from 2013 until 2015. He was recently accused of money laundering but pleaded not guilty in the Johor Bahru Sessions Court.Firdaus Juritah, head of operations at the Kulai fire and rescue station, was reported by Kosmo as saying his department had received a call about the accident, following which five firemen and a fire engine were dispatched to the scene.
