Ex-CJ Malanjun campaigns for Warisan Plus candidate

KOTA BELUD: Former chief justice Richard Malanjum made an appearance on Saturday at Upko candidate Ewon Benedick’s machinery launch here.

The Borneo Post reported that Malunjum said voters need to choose “the most sincere parties in defending the rights of Sabah”. He added voting for Warisan Plus is important because the coalition, led by Shafie Apdal, is about “restoring the wealth of the state of Sabah including its rights on oil” as well as giving back native lands to the indigenous community.

Malanjum served as chief justice from 2018 until last year. He was previously chief judge of Sabah and Sarawak before his promotion. Former Chief Justice Richard Malanjun appeared at a campaign event on Saturday.
