by the Borneo Post, an engineer in Kuching in his 50s has lost RM11,500 to a ticket scam on Carousell. He was trying to buy tickets to Taylor Swift’s ‘The Eras Tour’ concert that’s happening in Singapore in March next year.
According to Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri, the scam took place on 6th July when the victim saw an ad for the concert tickets on Carousell. He wanted to purchase a total of three tickets amounting to RM11,530 online. After making three payment transactions between 6th to 7th of July, the victim realised he was scammed when the suspect was no longer reachable. He then proceeded to lodge a police report.
