The inaugural blood donation drive organised by the Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) in collaboration with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Blood Bank Unit received encouraging response, attracting 194 people to register as blood donors on Sunday.

Out of the figure, a total of 131 donors were successful. The initial target was to collect between 100 and 200 pints of blood.
