PETALING JAYA: The remains of the Elmina plane crash victims can only be collected on Monday at the earliest, says Inspector-General of Police Razarudin Husain.
“The DNA matching with samples from 22 family members is still ongoing, and the process will take three to four hours per person,” he said at a press conference held at the hospital. “The family members do not need to wait here. The police and hospital management will call to let you know when it is complete.”
Razarudin said the police would also facilitate the necessary transport to ensure the victims’ remains are buried in their respective hometowns.
