CYBERJAYA: Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara mengaktifkan bilik gerakan bagi memastikan kelestarian perkhidmatan bekalan air di Semenanjung Malaysia dan Labuan susulan fenomena El-Nino yang diramal bermula bulan ini.
“SPAN komited dan mengambil segala langkah yang wajar dalam memastikan impak fenomena El-Nino terhadap perkhidmatan air dapat diminimumkan dan bekalan air dapat dilestarikan,” katanya. SPAN berkata, pihaknya juga akan menyelia operasi pembekalan air bersih secara berterusan kepada pengguna selain memastikan operator bekalan air mengambil langkah kawalan dan mitgasisl sewajarnya jika berlaku krisis bekalan air.
