The database, which will be jointly developed by nine ministries that are members of the national-level TVET Empowerment Committee , is part of an effort by the government to produce 35 per cent high-skilled work force by next year.
“The committee, which is chaired by Education Minister Dr Maszlee Malik, convened its second meeting here on Nov 26. Other ministries that are also members of the committee are Human Resources, Youth and Sports; Works, Rural Development, Entrepreneur Development, Agriculture and Agro-based Industry and Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs.
“This is to create an ecosystem that will help the government achieve its aspiration of having 35 per cent high-skilled work force by next year.
