EC chairman makes recommendations to restore fairness at polls

Election Commission Azhar Azizan Harun says that, aside from tweaks to the federal constitution, this issue of ‘weightage’ must be resolved in determining the ratio of lawmakers to population. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Irwan Majid, September 12, 2019.

AZHAR Azizan Harun has made three recommendations he believes will restore equality and fairness in the Malaysian polls process. The Election Commission chairman wants to see clauses to of Article 116 of the federal constitution, which govern the allocation of constituencies to various states and federal territories, reinstated.
