E-hailing driver pleads guilty to insulting Agong

AN e-hailing driver pleaded guilty in the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court today to four counts of improper use of the network facilities by transmitting offensive communications against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on Twitter.

Sufazrin Amin Ismail, 26, made the plea after all the charges were read out to him before judge M.M Edwin Paramjothy, who then set August 27 for sentencing. Effective July 2018, access to full reports will only be available with a subscription. Sign-up now and enjoy one week free access!
