"If the contents of the document are real, Umno Youth urges an investigation to see if there are elements of power abuse by certain individuals to ensure the cases proceeded against Najib. "Elements of political prosecution like this create a negative image and cause undue losses," he said in a statement on Saturday ."Umno Youth urges Attorney General Tan Sri Idrus Harun to investigate the authenticity of the said document along with its contents," he said.
On Friday Nooryana Najwa Najib urged the AGC to drop the six corruption charges against her father Najib and Irwan."We are investigating the leak of the documents," Idrus said. In the letter, said to be an internal memo from the AGC which went viral, the International Petroleum Investment Company prosecution team said it was concerned that a strong prima facie case could not be built for the six charges against the duo.
