Malaysian Drone Club deputy president Wan Hasyidan Wan Hussein said the job of drone pilots was currently trending as industries, especially tourism, were busy promoting their products through aerial videos and photos.

“Risky locations involve properties or tourism products that are located on islands where pilots need to fly their drones against strong winds and over the sea, which can cause signal issues aside from the weather factor. Wan Hasyidan explained that shooting videos of homes was easier in terms of highlighting the visuals needed.

“Mersing is one of the hottest locations for this type of footage and many drone pilots have gone to the island to do so,” he shared.
