"I have now received a report that the victim who was rescued from the helicopter crash site in Kg Kenangan, Bidor, has sadly passed away due to the severity of his injuries," the Transport Minister said in a Facebook post Monday .Earlier, Perak police chief Comm Datuk Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri revealed that the victim had been identified as Tzs Kin Richard Chan from Hong Kong.
According to Dr Wee, early indications had shown that the victim was still alive at the time when he was found at the crash site at 8:18am."However, we were informed that the victim had reportedly lost consciousness during the rescue and was attended to by rescuers," he said. He added that the authorities, including the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia and the search and rescue team, were now waiting for confirmation on the cause of death.On Sunday , the helicopter, with a single pilot on board, was said to have lost contact with KLATCC at 12.16pm.
The aircraft took off from the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang at 11.37am for a private flight and was scheduled to land at the Sultan Azlan Shah Airport here at 12.37pm. The helicopter model is a Eurocopter EC120B, registration marking N409HH operated by Heli Outpost Sdn Bhd.
