KUALA LUMPUR: Perdana menteri tidak yakin projek Sistem Transit Rapid boleh menyelesaikan masalah trafik yang dihadapi Malaysia dan Singapura di Tambak Johor, dan Putrajaya belum buat keputusan untuk meneruskan laluan kereta api sepanjang 4km itu.
“Namun sudah jelas, RTS tidak akan selesaikan masalah trafik yang dihadapi antara Malaysia dan Singapura,” katanya pada sidang media selepas mesyuarat majlis presiden Pakatan Harapan hari ini. Mahathir ditanya pemberita mengenai status projek itu, susulan laporan mengatakan 1 daripada 5 plot tanah untuk projek RTS dipindahkan kepada Sultan Johor.
RTS yang akan menghubungkan Bukit Chagar di Johor Bahru dengan Woodlands di Singapura bertujuan meringankan kesesakan di Tambak Johor.
