Dr M confirms Pejuang defending Langkawi seat, eyeing others for GE15

The incumbent Langkawi MP said Pejuang is also in the midst of identifying other Parliamentary and state seats that they could potentially vie for in the upcoming polls.

However, Dr Mahathir who turned 96 years old on Saturday , could not confirm whether he himself would be nominated to defend the Langkawi seat, saying that the decision rests with the party's leadership and his state of health when GE15 is held. "Pejuang will contest where we see that we can, and now we are studying which areas we can contest in.

"In Langkawi, we will contest. , I don't know that yet, because today I'm healthy, tomorrow I might not be; how can we know. Whatever it is, whatever I can do to help Langkawi, I will do it," he was quoted as saying by Astro Awani at the Pulau Tuba KEDA Hall in Langkawi on Saturday . On Thursday , Dr Mahathir said that Pejuang is now officially registered as a political party after receiving approval from the Registrar of Societies.
