DR Afif Bahardin keluar dari PKR dan menyertai Bersatu, hampir sebulan selepas kerajaan negeri Pulau Pinang mengisytiharkan Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Seberang Jaya itu bukan lagi wakil rakyat anggota kerajaan. Dr Afif keluar PKR selepas tiga bulan dikenakan tindakan gantung sementara dari parti. Beliau sebelum ini menegaskan tidak akan merayu terhadap tindakan itu.
