KOTA KINABALU: Police have urged members of the public not to speculate on the cause of death of the son of a prominent Sabah businessman pending a post-mortem report.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali said many of the WhatsApp messages being spread about the cause of the 42-year-old man’s death had no truth as police have yet to ascertain the cause of death.

The son of a prominent businessman, who was running a family hotel and travel agency, was found dead in the bathroom of his room at their home in Luyang here at around 6pm on Wednesday .
