KUALA LUMPUR: Non-Malay communities should not be worried over the Himpunan Penyatuan Ummah 2019 , saysHe said the main aim of the gathering was to unite both Umno and PAS first before working with the other races for the betterment of the country.
"This has resulted Malays feeling pressured in their own country," he said in his speech on the first day of the gathering on Friday ."There are a lot of statements made about this gathering which do not make sense."The gathering is to show that we can unite," he said. He also noted that the two parties were committed in protecting the rights and interests of non-Malays if it managed to take over the Federal Government.
"It is unlikely that suddenly, there will be a Taliban-style government or more racial problems in the future," said the Kubang Kerian MP in his speech.
