PUTRAJAYA, June 16 — The price of chicken is expected to rise next month when it is floated following the end of the maximum retail price scheme on June 30.

“MOF will do something to help those in need,” he told a press conference after the monthly assembly of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs here today. Previously, chicken breeders have expressed their hopes that the government will allow a free float of chicken prices following its decision to end the subsidies issued to breeders effective July 1.
