Two video clips on Twitter recorded the gory incident, and the person who posted it claimed it happened at a village road in Penang on Saturday night.
The video showed two men, one wielding a wooden club and the other a long staff, bashing and stabbing the mongrel. In the first two strikes with the club recorded on video, a sound akin to the weak and pained growling of a dog could be heard. The sound ceased in the subsequent strikes. The person who posted the video claimed that the dog crossed the dark village road suddenly and a motorcycle crashed into it.The person then said people removed the dog out and beat it to death.At the end of one of the videos, a man could be heard saying aloud:"Jangan rakam oi! .”
The videos have since been viewed almost 800,000 times, with thousands of commenters decrying the cruelty.
