KOTA KINABALU: The RM6.6bil allocation for Sabah under Budget 2024 should be dispensed promptly for the benefit of the people, says Sepanggar MP Datuk Mustapha Sakmud.
"A big budget may not be useful if the implementation is slow. The implementation of the projects identified can be accelerated if it is dispensed early," the Deputy Human Resources Minister said after a visit to Yayasan Sabah Technical College on Saturday . Earlier in his speech, he said that the Sabah government was best positioned to coordinate human resources needs through technical and vocational education and training ."The state can ensure trainees produced would be based on the request of the industries to reduce the mismatch of training and job opportunity," he said.
