KualaLumpur Pemberian diskaun bil elektrik yang sebelum ini diumum bagi tempoh April hingga September 2020 dilanjutkan sehingga 31 Disember 2020 bagi semua pengguna domestik

Menteri Tenaga dan Sumber Asli Datuk Shamsul Anuar Nasarah berkata, sehubungan itu, 7.66 juta pengguna domestik di semenanjung akan terus menikmati diskaun bil elektrik di antara dua hingga 50 peratus dari 1 Oktober 2020 sehingga 31 Disember 2020 sebagai lanjutan kepada diskaun elektrik yang diumumkan 27 Mac lalu di bawah Pakej Rangsangan Ekonomi Prihatin Rakyat .

Beliau berkata, pengguna domestik di Sabah dan Sarawak pula akan terus menerima diskaun bil elektrik sebanyak dua peratus sehingga 31 Disember 2020 yang akan memanfaatkan kira-kira 520,000 orang di Sabah dan 580,000 orang di Sarawak. Selasa lalu, Suruhanjaya Tenaga memaklumkan bahawa pengguna bukan domestik akan menikmati penurunan surcaj sebanyak 2 sen/kWj bagi tempoh 1 Julai hingga 31 Disember 2020 manakala pengguna elektrik domestik kekal membayar kadar tarif sedia ada.
