KOTA KINABALU: The operations of coffee shops and restaurants should be extended by another hour to allow operators to recoup their losses, says Federation of Chinese Associations Sabah (FCAS).

FCAS president Tan Sri T.C. Goh proposed that the existing business hours for eateries and restaurants in the state be extended from 6am to 10pm instead of the current 6am to 9pm under the second phase of the National Recovery Plan .

Goh called on the Federal Government and the National Security Council to accept the Sabah decision to allow dine-ins, unconditionally. He reminded that when the state government announced the extension of Phase One of the NRP for Sabah, at the end of last month, it also announced that dine-in was allowed.
