KUALA LUMPUR: Replacing physical textbooks with digital learning materials is among the steps taken to alleviate the isssue of heavy school bags , says Fadhlina Sidek .
The Education Minister added that this would be part of the 2027 school curriculum in a written Parliamentary reply on Tuesday . “The 2027 school curicullum is being developed and the views of stakeholders have been taken into account to improve the quality of the education system,” she said. “As part of efforts to overcome the issue of heavy school bags, the Education Ministry has developed digital supporting materials that will replace textbooks,” she added.“The use of digital support material is more dynamic and will spark the interests of students to study and explore more areas,” she said.
