To get mobile connectivity on your Apple Watch LTE version, Digi introduces AirSIM which allows you to share the same number on two devices.

With the arrival of cellular versions of the Apple Watch, you are able to receive calls and stream Apple Music to your earphones from your wrist without having your iPhone with you. This is great if you’re going out for a walk and you are still reachable via LTE. To enable this, you’ll need an eSIM with number sharing and Digi is the only telco in Malaysia to offer it with its AirSIM service.

According to Digi’s website, the AirSIM service costs RM10/month and it is applicable to Digi postpaid plans , except for Digi business. If you’re on prepaid, you will need to convert your plan to postpaid. As an introductory promo, they are offering the Digi AirSIM number share service for free for 6 months from the point of registration. This free subscription offer ends on the 30th of April 2020..

To set it up is pretty easy and since the Apple Watch uses an eSIM, there’s no need to fiddle around with physical SIM cards. After pairing the Apple Watch to your iPhone, just launch the Apple Watch App, then tap on Mobile Data and proceed set up the plan with the instructions on the screen. Once that’s done, your mobile number and data will be shared across both iPhone and the Apple Watch.

The service is compatible with the devices listed below and you can use it on both the Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 5 variants that support 4G LTE. You must update to the latest iOS and watchOS version before you proceed.
