"He came down with the symptoms two days earlier upon his return from campaigning in the Sabah state elections on Oct 1 and was admitted. He has now tested positive for Covid-19 and is under close observation but he is recuperating well," said the sources. The Barisan Nasional executive secretary had flown to Sabah to assist Barisan in the state elections.
Earlier, Umno Youth deputy chief Shahril Hamdan and supreme council member Razlan Rafii also tested positive for Covid-19 upon their return from Sabah to Kuala Lumpur.
