JAKARTA: The Covid-19 outbreak has claimed 38 lives in Indonesia, and 81 new cases were confirmed on Saturday (March 21), bringing the total to 450 in the country, the Indonesian government said on Saturday (March 21).

Indonesian President Joko Widodo has said he would use"all state powers" to tackle the COVID-19 outbreak. The government has turned the Wisma Atlet Kemayoran, the apartment towers in Central Jakarta which were used to billet athletes competing in the 2018 Asian Games, into an emergency hospital to treat people with the disease.Earlier on Friday, indonesian President Joko Widodo said that a total of three million chloroquine tablets will be distributed to help recover Covid-19-infected patients, and another two million medicines of avigan are being ordered for the patients.
