Dead man found inside floating suitcase in Sarawak

The body is that of a man and it was stuffed inside a suitcase measuring 3ft by 2ft which was locked from the outside, and theshocking find was made at around 7.30pm Friday by anglers who were fishing along the riverbanks.

Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department said in its latest update that the Department received an alert from the police to retrieve the bag. "People who were fishing along the river had lodged a police report after they found the bag floating in the river.The bag emitted a foul stench and the police asked the Department to help retrieve the bag," it said."With the police present, the bag was pried open and a human body was found inside, believed to be aged between 40 and 50," said Bomba Sarawak.>The police have taken custody of the body, and an investigation to determine his identity has started.
