DAP Disciplinary Committee chairman Chong Chieng Jen says Julius Favianus is being sacked as the Bingkor seat is to be contested by the DAP’s candidate on a Warisan ticket.
KUALA LUMPUR: DAP has sacked Julius Favianus, a member of its Liawan branch, with immediate effect for standing as a candidate on a LDP ticket for the Bingkor seat in today’s nominations for the Sabah state elections. DAP Disciplinary Committee chairman Chong Chieng Jen explained that the party and its coalition partners in Warisan Plus in Sabah had decided that the Bingkor seat be contested by the DAP’s candidate on a Warisan ticket.
“Any action by a party member to stand as a candidate against the agreement reached by the Warisan Plus coalition partners will be considered an act of insubordination and indiscipline.“DAP will not tolerate such betrayal which warrants the immediate termination of his/her party membership,” he said in a statement here.Warisan Plus is made up of Warisan, DAP, Upko, PKR and Amanah.
