DAP’s Chinese translations on Kuching road signs for tourists ‘insensitive’

Sarawak DAP is accused of being insensitive to the state's multiracial people by putting up Chinese translations for Kuching road signs for the benefit of tourists from China. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, August 20, 2020.

SARAWAK DAP’s pasting of Chinese translations on several road signs around the city of Kuching is an insensitive act in a plural state. Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi said it also violated the federal constitution and the National Language Act 1963.
