KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 — DAP needs to constantly recruit fresh and better talents if it is to remain relevant and win the hearts of Malaysians, the party’s ousted national publicity secretary Tony Pua said after failing to maintain a spot in its top leadership committee.
“Perhaps my zeal in averaging up the quality of our elected representatives had the unintended consequence of offending some within the party, especially in Selangor where I was first defeated in the party’s state committee election in 2018,” he said in a statement late last night. He urged DAP members to fully back their new secretary-general Anthony Loke Siew Fook to lead the party to reclaim its spot in the federal government.
Yes talent that is more humble and less arrogant than him.
He is not reelected is because Malaysian are sick to the core. DAP is no different. They want leaders that can help them to 'cari makan.'
He's a good guy but he's not a politician.
Time for him to sit down & reflect on his doings in the past in DAP that led to him not getting enough votes to be in CEC ..... this could be his turning point to be a better man
He was supporting the MOU if I last recall and if I am a member, this would be the key reason to snub him.
For a long time I had admired you as a politician and a formidable MP. Probably now you may have to do some reflection and reposition your standing among your party comrades to do what is necessary for your constituents and for the Party.
