PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 206 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday (Feb 28), bringing the total number of cases in the country to 5,042,791 infections since the pandemic began.

The Health Ministry's KKMNow portal reported that 201 of Tuesday's new Covid-19 cases were local transmissions while five imported infections were logged.

The portal also reported that there were 9,248 active cases currently in the country, with 8,901, or 96.2%, observing home quarantine. The ICU utilisation rate nationwide stood at 64.1%, with nine states or localities recording ICU usage rates of more than 60%.
