Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Comm Zainuddin Yaacob, in a statement, urged caution from the public, saying that the vaccines are given out for free.
"The department has identified the spread of certain 'information' regarding the ‘sale’ of the Covid-19 vaccine. Even though the relevant parties have denied there being such an advert, the police do not deny the possibility of such advertisements in the future. "Any such offer of sale by any parties is an irresponsible act and most likely a scam. The department will conduct surveillance continuously to identify and detect any parties who promote the sale of the vaccine online," he said.
He added that two reports linked to the supposed"sale" of the Covid-19 vaccine have been lodged, with losses at RM285,499.95.
