SIBU: Sarawak has reported 544 new Covid-19 cases and five deaths on Sunday (June 13).

The state Disaster Management Committee said 304 of the cases, or 55.88%, were detected in Kuching, Bintulu, Sibu, Miri and Saratok.

Kuching recorded the most cases with 85 followed by Bintulu , Sibu , Miri , Saratok , Mukah , Sri Aman , Dalat , Sarikei , Song , Kanowit , Kapit , Bukit Mabong , Subis , Bau , Tatau , Asajaya , Serian , Lundu , Marudi , Samarahan, Telang Usan, Sebauh and Tebedu with two each, while Pakan, Tanjung Manis, Beluru, Lubok Antu, Selangau and Matu have one each."Of the five deaths, two of them happened in Kapit involving a 76-year old man and an 80-year old woman.

The committee also reported that a total of 82 clusters are still active, 10 of which contributed to 85 new cases.
