PETALING JAYA: The Sarawak state election has not caused a spike in Covid-19 cases in Sarawak due to Covid-19 vaccinations, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The Health director-general said as at Jan 9, 75.6% of Sarawak residents were fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and 62% of its adult population have received their booster shots.

"Daily Covid-19 cases, as well as hospital and ICU admissions continue to decline. Deaths have also decreased," he said."We need to continue to adhere to public health measures, which are the 3W and 3S , as well as implementing TRIIS for protection," he said.
