KOTA KINABALU: All Sabahans returning to the state must undergo a compulsory two-week quarantine at gazetted centres with immediate effect.

Sabah Health Department director Datuk Dr Christina Rundi said beginning today , all will have to undergo quarantine at these centres, in an effort to check the spread of Covid-19 in the state, unless health officers decide otherwise at the points of arrival.

If their tests turn out negative, based on the assessment of health officers, they may be allowed to complete the remainder of their quarantine period at their homes. Sabah saw 12 new Covid-19 cases from returning Sabahans as at Wednesday this week, including four students.
