PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,330 new Covid-19 cases on Monday (June 6), bringing the cumulative total number of infections in the country to 4,516,319 since the pandemic began.

The Health Ministry's CovidNow portal reported that 1,326 of Monday's new Covid-19 cases were local transmissions while there were four imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 recoveries in Malaysia to 4,458,999 since the pandemic began. The portal also said that 924 individuals, or 4.3% of active cases, were seeking treatment in hospitals throughout the country.
