PUTRAJAYA: Penularan jangkitan pandemik Covid-19 dan perubahan iklim adalah dua ancaman global ketika ini yang perlu diberi perhatian serius oleh setiap negara bagi mencari satu jalan penyelesaian sepakat.
Justeru, kata Perdana Menteri, tanpa tindakan drastik diambil untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan kesan perubahan iklim yang berlaku, masa depan menjadi lebih sukar lagi. Menurut Muhyiddin, strategi Meningkatkan Kelestarian Alam Sekitar melalui agenda Pertumbuhan Hijau adalah sebahagian daripada Rancangan Malaysia Kesebelas yang dirangka lima tahun lalu.
Beliau berkata, pendekatan pemulihan hijau bukan sahaja dapat memacu ekonomi dan kesejahteraan sosial tetapi mendorong pembangunan negara ke arah ketahanan rendah karbon dan iklim.
