Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah berkata, kes ke-9,000 itu sudah menjalani ujian di klinik swasta pada 27 Julai lalu namun dia disahkan negatif Covid-19.
"Selepas pembabitan dalam aktiviti Aidiladha sehari kemudian, kes berkenaan memaklumkan dia adalah kontak rapat dengan kes indeks manakala susulan daripada itu ujian RT-PCR dijalankan sebelum disahkan positif dan kini menerima rawatan lanjut dan pengasingan di Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah," katanya dalam sidang media harian Covid-19 di Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia di Putrajaya, hari ini.
Katanya, mereka yang makan di restoran berkenaan atau mempunyai kontak rapat dengan mereka yang positif daripada kluster berkenaan digesa untuk menjalani ujian saringan segera. "Orang ramai sewajarnya tampil dan tidak menyimpan atau merahsiakan sebarang maklumat penting seperti kontak rapat dengan kes positif Covid-19 kerana ini adalah tanggungjawab untuk membendung penularan wabak ini di dalam negara," katanya.
