KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 5,815,575 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the country as of Sunday (June 20).

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said in a Twitter post that 1,612,974 people had completed two doses of the vaccine and 4,202,601 individuals had received the first dose.

The five states that recorded the highest number of double-dose recipients were Selangor with 208,031 individuals, followed by Sarawak , Johor , Perak and Kuala Lumpur . On daily vaccination under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, Dr Adham said 140,573 doses were administered on Sunday involving 116,514 first-dose recipients and 24,059 second-dose recipients.
