The new cluster has been dubbed the “Maju cluster”, and it involves one Malaysian and two foreigners.
In a statement on Friday , Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the nine cases, four were imported while five were local transmissions.The country discharged 13 more patients, which means the total of recoveries is 8,943 or at a rate of 96.71% and the total number of active cases in the country is now down to 179 cases.
He added that seven people have been admitted into intensive care units, with four of them requiring ventilator support. No deaths were reported, which means the country’s death toll remained at 125 deaths, or 1.35% fatality rate.
