PETALING JAYA: The country has recorded a higher number of new Covid-19 cases than recoveries on Sunday (Nov 14).

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 5,162 new cases were recorded, with 5,151 locally-transmitted cases and 11 imported cases.

"Of the 5,162 cases reported, 104 cases were in categories three, four and five, while 5,058 cases consisted of those in categories one and two," he said in a statement on Sunday . Dr Noor Hisham added that there were 5,019 total recoveries, bringing the cumulative recoveries to 2,451,216 to date.As of Sunday, the infectivity rate of the country was at 1.05 with the highest infectivity rate recorded in Putrajaya followed by Kuala Lumpur , Selangor , Negri Sembilan , Pahang and Kelantan .There were also no new clusters reported, bringing the cumulative active clusters in the country to 266 clusters.
