The number of Covid-19 cases have spiked to three digits again, with 111 cases reported today. This brings the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 858.
Thirteen were from the Fort Lahad Datu cluster, all of whom were Malaysian, while two more cases were foreigners from the Laut cluster. Eight more local infections were reported in Kedah, comprising seven from the Singai cluster and one case detected in a Severe Acute Respiratory Infection patient at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah.
He added four Covid-19 patients were currently in intensive care units, with three needing ventilator assistance.
