PETALING JAYA: A total of 40,925,929 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in Malaysia as of Tuesday (Sept 21), says the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV).

According to figures released by JKJAV on Twitter, 22,223,652 people or 93.2% of the adult population have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, while 18,786,636 individuals or 80.2% of the adult population have completed their inoculations.

JKJAV also reported that a total of 261,255 Covid-19 vaccine doses were administered in the country on Tuesday. Of this total, 123,414 people received the first dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine, while 137,841 completed their inoculations by getting either the second dose of a two-dose vaccine or a single dose jab.

Sabah saw the most people receiving their first dose with 23,888 jabs given, followed by Johor , Pahang and Perak . Johor led the way for completed inoculations with 36,076 doses administered, followed by Sabah , Kedah and Kuala Lumpur .
