Public holiday on June 20 will be maintained.

The 79th birthday celebration of the Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah, has been postponed to a date to be announced later.

Kedah state secretary Ammar Shaikh Mahmood Naim said the Sultan consented to postpone his birthday celebration in light of the current state of the country due to a sharp increase in Covid-19 cases.
