KUALA LUMPUR: there has been a resurgence of Covid-19 cases at educational institutions in the country, with 17 clusters or 85% out of 19 clusters reported from April 9 to 14, according to data from the Health Ministry.

Seventeen education clusters were recorded, five in Negri Sembilan, three in Perak and two each in Johor, Kelantan, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur and one in Putrajaya.

Among the education clusters, the Jalan Shah Banting 2 cluster involving the districts of Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Sepang recorded the highest number of infections, with 133 cases as of April 12. A total of 60 Semesra students were reported to be Covid-19 positive involving students from year two to five.
