KOTA KINABALU: Movement within the Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) here has been limited, as classes have all gone back online after an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases on campus.

UMS Suara Mahasiswa president Izzat Dahelan said three hostels within the campus have been placed under enhanced MCO from April 5 and movement within the entire university campus has been limited.

There are currently about 3,000 students in the whole campus since they were allowed back earlier in March. Food and basic necessities are not an issue for the three hostel blocks under EMCO, as they have in-house cafes to cater to their needs. "We were allowed to enter and exit the UMS campus from March 26 for important matters, but we later found out that there was already a suspected positive case a day earlier on March 25," he claimed.
