State Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said Sabah recorded 69 new cases on Sunday , a marginal difference from 63 the day before .
"Kota Kinabalu is the only district recording double-digit cases , while 18 others recorded single-digit infections. "The figure of new infections is expected to remain stable in the coming days, but sporadic infection risk remains high with 58% of new cases on Sunday are sporadic infections," he said in a statement.
Masidi said while the post-pandemic resumption of direct international flights to the state capital would also bring risk of overseas transmission, the health protocols set for international travellers and the standard operating procedures enforced are hoped to curb the risks.
